Guests come for the cleanliness and the welcome - spotless rooms with comfortable beds and good sound insulation, staff who are repeatedly described as kind and professional, and an a la carte breakfast with fresh juice and both Vietnamese and Western dishes. The affiliated Lan Ha Bay and national park trips are well organised. Bay-front construction currently blocks part of the view.

Getting about: it is a minute from the pier and right among the town's restaurants, so everything is on foot - the Cat Co beaches are a longer walk of 15-20 minutes or a short taxi, and boat trips leave from the harbour outside.
