3 Days / 2 Nights aboard the Hermes Cruise.

A neoclassical ship of just eighteen cabins over four decks, with a six-hundred-square-metre sundeck, a jacuzzi and a sky bar - and a kitchen run by a chef out of a Michelin-starred Hanoi restaurant. Works both Ha Long and Lan Ha, which most Tuan Chau boats do not.

Day 1

Tuan Chau - Luon Cave - Titov Island

11:15-11:30Arrive at Tuan Chau harbour.

12:00Board the ship and settle into your cabin.

12:30A buffet lunch as the ship gets under way.

14:00-15:00Luon Cave, by kayak or by bamboo boat.

15:20-16:20Titov Island - four hundred and twenty-four steps to the top, or the beach.

17:15The sunset party at the Sky Bar.

18:00A spring-roll cooking demonstration.

19:20A European set-menu dinner.

21:00Squid fishing, or the deck.

Day 2

Lan Ha Bay - Ba Trai Dao - Me Cung Cave

06:15Tai Chi on the sundeck.

07:00A light breakfast onboard.

08:00-08:45Step across to the day boat and meet the local guide.

09:00-11:15Trinh Nu Cave - the Dark & Bright Cave on some departures - then kayaking there.

12:00Lunch onboard the day boat.

13:00Swimming at Ba Trai Dao, the Three Peaches, in Lan Ha Bay.

14:00The run home past Frog Stone, Satan Stone and the old pearl farm, with Me Cung Cave on the way.

14:45Afternoon tea and fresh fruit.

15:00Back aboard Hermes.

17:15The sunset party at the Sky Bar, then a cooking demonstration.

19:20An Asian-European dinner.

21:00Squid fishing.

Day 3

Ha Long Bay - Sung Sot Cave - Tuan Chau

06:15Tai Chi on the sundeck.

06:30-07:20A light breakfast in the restaurant.

07:30Sung Sot Cave - a hundred and twenty steps to the mouth, two hundred more inside.

08:45Return to the ship.

09:30Check out; luggage outside the cabin door.

09:40-10:30A buffet brunch as the ship cruises back to Tuan Chau.

10:30Disembark and conclude the cruise.
