A classic guided walk down the Muong Hoa valley through the Black Hmong village of Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai and the Giay village of Ta Van, with a village lunch along the way.
A full day covering roughly ten to twelve kilometres on valley paths, moderate rather than tough, with some uneven and muddy ground after rain.
Terraced rice fields, the river, and daily life in the Hmong and Giay villages, with a local guide from the area.
Comfortable walking shoes with grip, layers for changeable mountain weather, and a light waterproof. A walking pole helps on wet ground.
Older children who are used to walking manage it well. Let us know ages and we can shorten the route if needed.
