The Itinerary

How your 3 days / 2 nights unfolds.

Day 1
Hanoi → Tuan Chau → Bright Cave → Lan Ha Bay
08:20–08:50Limousine pick-up from your hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter and the ~2.5-hour drive to Ha Long with a short break.
11:45Check in at the Tuan Chau Marina lounge, then transfer by tender to Diana Cruise with a welcome drink and safety briefing.
13:00Lunch in the restaurant on the 4th deck as the cruise sets sail into Lan Ha Bay.
14:45–17:45Visit Bright Cave (Hang Sang) by hand-rowed bamboo boat, then kayak or swim from the back of the cruise.
17:00Happy Hour and sunset from the sundeck.
19:00Dinner on board, then leisure time: squid fishing, the Sky Bar or stargazing. Overnight aboard Diana Cruise.
Day 2
Cat Ba Island → Viet Hai Village → Ba Trai Dao
06:30Optional Tai Chi on the sundeck with the sunrise.
07:30Breakfast as the cruise continues deeper into Lan Ha Bay.
08:30Transfer to explore Cat Ba Island and Viet Hai Village by bicycle or electric car, taking in the national park scenery.
12:30Lunch — on board or at a local restaurant depending on the day's routing.
14:30Kayaking and swimming around the Ba Trai Dao (Three Peaches) islets and beaches.
17:30Sunset tea party on the sundeck.
19:00Dinner on board, followed by leisure time at the bar or squid fishing. Overnight aboard.
Day 3
Tai Chi → Final Cruising → Brunch → Hanoi
06:30Tai Chi on the sundeck to greet the final morning over the bay.
07:30Breakfast with the morning bay views.
08:30Final cruising and a last cave or lagoon visit, then return toward harbour.
09:30Check out and settle any extra charges at reception.
10:00Brunch is served as the cruise returns to Tuan Chau.
11:00Disembark, then transfer back to Hanoi with a short break en route, arriving in the early afternoon.

Our experience of

Diana Cruise

We've hosted guests aboard the Diana and been over her ourselves. She's a new six-star superyacht, and the cabins are the headline - private balconies, a jacuzzi looking over Lan Ha Bay, and interiors that guests describe as among the nicest rooms they've stayed in, at sea or ashore.

On the water it's an easy, relaxed rhythm: kayaking and swimming stops, a cooking class that guests single out, and quieter touches like tai chi, a cocktail class and live music in the evening. The service is the other thing people raise with us - attentive and warm without being formal. She sails the calmer Lan Ha and Ha Long routes, so there's room to slow down.

What we've found: choose the Diana if a private balcony jacuzzi and a genuinely lovely cabin matter to you. It suits couples and families who want comfort and a soft pace over a packed itinerary.
