Aliana sits on high ground at 30 Hoang Lien Street, about five minutes' walk from Sapa's stone church. It is a 50-room boutique hotel built into the hillside: rooms face either the natural rock wall behind or out towards Fansipan and the Muong Hoa Valley. On site are an outdoor pool with a children's section, a spa, a steam room, a gym and one restaurant and bar. It suits couples and families who want the town close but not underfoot.

For families there is the Family Balcony (53m²) and the Family Inter-Connecting (55m²).

Where is the hotel and what can you walk to?

The address is 30 Hoang Lien Street, on rising ground at the edge of Sapa town. The stone church and Quang Truong Square are about five minutes' walk, and the Fansipan cable car station is reached from the same square. Sapa Lake is a little further, around ten minutes on foot.

Is breakfast included?

Daily buffet breakfast is listed as part of the room on the hotel's own room pages, and is served in Aliana Restaurant. Vietnamese and Western dishes are both served.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 13:00 and check-out is by 11:00. The front desk is staffed 24 hours, so late arrivals are fine. Luggage storage is available if you arrive before your room is ready or leave after check-out.

Is it suitable for families?

Yes. The Family Balcony (53m²) and Family Inter-Connecting (55m²) both take a king and two single beds for up to five people, and the Family Inter-Connecting has two bathrooms. The Duplex Suite Terrace splits a king and two twins over two floors, also for five. There is a separate children's pool beside the main outdoor pool.

How do you get there from Hanoi and how long does it take?

Sapa is roughly 320 km from Hanoi. Most people drive the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, which takes about five and a half to six hours by private car or sleeper bus. The alternative is the overnight train from Hanoi to Lao Cai, around eight hours, then about an hour by road for the last 35 km up to Sapa.
