It is a small group day that blends organic farming at the Tra Que herb village with river fishing and coconut waterways. You cycle to the gardens, then board a wooden boat to try net fishing, paddle a bamboo basket boat through the Cam Thanh palms, weave palm leaves and sit down to a meal cooked on board.

It is a half day of roughly five to six hours and runs as either a morning departure at around 8:00 AM or an afternoon departure at around 2:00 PM, so you can keep the rest of the day for the Ancient Town or the beach.

Yes, it is one of the more family-friendly things to do in Hoi An. The cycling is short and flat, and children usually love riding the water buffalo, casting the fishing nets and spinning the round basket boats. Younger children can travel in the boat rather than cycle.

The ride is around five to six kilometres on flat, quiet country roads and takes about forty five minutes at an easy pace. If anyone would rather not cycle, they can join by minivan and meet the group at the boat.
